Canton's Hell

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Cody Widmeyer was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. He grew up on the Gulf of Mexico and spent the majority of his early years swimming in the ocean, playing on the beach, and listening to a heavy dose of Jimmy Buffett.
As he entered teen life, that exposure to sand, surf, and bright skies made him curious what the darker side of life was like. That's when he picked up a copy of The Headsman by James Neal Harvey from the public library. Chosen strictly on cover, that book ended up being the turning point for his reading and creative interests.
At the age of 22 and a fresh graduate of University of Texas A&M with a degree in maritime business, he began to travel internationally for work. During a four month stay in Germany, an idea for a story came to mind. A few chapters were written, ideas for characters were jotted down, and then it was time to go back home.
Those chapters and ideas stayed dormant for four years until an unexpected death changed Cody's world. Then it was time to go back to that darker side of life and finally translate the idea into an actual story. This is when Canton's Hell was written.
Now that Canton's Hell is complete, Cody spends his time with his wife and kids, reading comics and novels, fishing, enjoying outside, playing way too much fantasy football, and of course... writing.
